Cricket fans get ready for a blast from the past as the Legends Cricket Trophy (LCT) roars back to life for its second edition, starting March 8 and running until March 19. All matches will be held at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, creating a vibrant atmosphere for fans both in Sri Lanka and watching around the world.

Seven teams vie for glory

This year’s LCT boasts a fresh lineup with seven brand-new teams: Colombo Lions, Delhi Devils, Dubai Giants, Kandy Samp Army, New York Superstar Strikers, Punjab Royals and Rajasthan Kings. These teams will battle it out in a single round-robin format, playing each other once for a total of 22 matches.

Format of LCT 2024

Adding a twist to the competition, the LCT 2024 will be played in a thrilling 90-ball format. This shorter format promises action-packed cricket, keeping fans on the edge of their seats as legendary players showcase their skills in a condensed yet strategic setting.

After the round-robin stage, the top two teams in the points table will lock horns in the final.
