In response, India’s opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma provided a solid foundation, showcasing aggressive batting to keep the English bowlers at bay. Their partnership of 104 runs laid the groundwork for India’s dominance, with Rohit remaining unbeaten on 53 alongside Shubman Gill as India ended the day at 135/1, trailing England by 83 runs.
