During the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) 2024 match between Khiladi 11 and Master’s 11, batting legend Sachin Tendulkar fell victim to the bowling of Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane on Wednesday. The ISPL, which amalgamates entertainment and cricketing personalities, featured teams captained by Tendulkar and Akshay Kumar.

In the 5th over of the match, Tendulkar, who had already amassed a quick-fire 30 runs from 16 deliveries, faced the second delivery of Munawar’s first over. His attempt to hit a delivery outside the off-stump resulted in a mistimed shot, leading to his dismissal as he was caught at gully by Naman Ojha.
The footage of Sachin’s dismissal by Munawar swiftly went viral on social media platforms, eliciting laughter from fans.

Opening the batting alongside Amir Hussain Lone, captain of Jammu & Kashmir’s para-cricket team, Tendulkar stitched an inspiring partnership. Suresh Raina walked in after the departure of the Master Blaster. After setting a target of 95 runs in 10 overs, Master’s 11 restricted Khiladi 11 for 90.
Sachin Tendulkar dances to the tunes of ‘Naatu-Naatu’
Earlier, in the opening ceremony of the tournament, Tendulkar showcased his dance moves by performing the hook-step of the Oscar-winning song “Naatu-Naatu” alongside Akshay Kumar, Ram Charan and Suriya Sivakumar. The ISPL, known for its T10 format, comprises six teams – Majhi Mumbai, Chennai Singams, Tiigers of Kolkata, Falcon Risers Hyderabad, Bangalore Strikers and Srinagar Ke Veer – owned by actors from the Hindi and South Indian film industries.
