The USA Cricket team has announced the appointment of former Australian cricketer Stuart Law as their new head coach. Law, a seasoned campaigner with over 50 international appearances for Australia, brings a wealth of coaching experience to his new role.
A career steeped in coaching
Law’s coaching journey began after his retirement from international cricket in the early 2000s. He has since served as head coach for national teams like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and the West Indies. More recently, he has worked with Afghanistan and Bangladesh’s Under-19 team.
The 55-year-old coach embraces the challenge
Speaking to the International Cricket Council (ICC), Law acknowledged the challenges ahead for the young American team but is excited to guide them in their international endeavours. “It’s an exciting opportunity,” Law said.
“USA is one of the strongest Associate nations in the sport, and I believe that we can mold a formidable squad going ahead,” he added.
