Harbhajan emphasized the importance of maintaining balance in India’s batting lineup, suggesting that Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal should open, with Virat Kohli slotting in at No. 3. He praised Kohli’s versatility, stating that Kohli’s skillset allowed him to excel in any batting position. Furthermore, Harbhajan suggested that either Rohit or Virat should take charge of playing aggressive cricket to propel the team forward.
“I believe Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma should open for India, and Virat Kohli should come at no.3,” said Harbhajan on Star Sports.

Jaiswal is an emerging talent for India. He debuted for India in T20Is in 2023 and played 17 matches, scored 502 runs on an average of 34 with a blistering strike rate of 162 and smashed 1 century and 4 half-centuries for India.
