MS Dhoni gifts the cricket ball to a young fan
During a recently-concluded Chennai Super Kings (CSK) match against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium, Meher, a young cricket enthusiast, received a surprise gift from the veteran cricketer.
Dhoni, known for his cool demeanor and sportsmanship, spotted Meher in the stands. While walking back to the change room following his cameo that included three sixes off the last over of CSK innings bowled by MI skipper Hardik Pandya, Dhoni noticed a cricket ball lying on the stairs. Instead of walking past it, Dhoni picked up the ball and made a special detour towards Meher, who was sitting on the shoulders of her father. Dhoni gifted the cricket ball to the young fan and the crowd erupted in cheers.

The fan girl reacts on Dhoni’s heartening gesture
The image of Dhoni handing the ball to Meher quickly went viral, melting hearts across the cricketing world. Following the match, Star Sports shared a video of the interviews with Meher where the young fan girl revealed that she aspires to play for the Indian cricket team someday. She even made a promise that once her dream comes true, she would gift a cricket ball to another young fan, just like Dhoni did for her.
“My name is Mehar. I am the same lucky girl to whom Dhoni uncle gave this ball. I play cricket and it is my dream that if I play for India, I will gift this ball to someone,” said Meher.
