During the sixth over of New Zealand’s innings, Seifert showcased incredible agility and anticipation at the crease. As Mohammad Amir delivered a wide ball aimed far outside off, Seifert, initially shimming down the leg side, adjusted his position swiftly. With a leap reminiscent of a tiger pouncing on its prey, he extended across the off-side in a daring attempt to make contact with the ball. Despite his valiant effort, he couldn’t quite connect with the delivery. Seifert’s flourishing innings
At that juncture, Seifert was in sublime form, batting fluently at 36 runs off just 20 deliveries. His innings continued to flourish as he went on to top-score for his side with an impressive 52 runs off 33 balls, comprising 7 fours and 2 sixes. Nevertheless, despite his valiant effort, New Zealand fell short of the target, eventually being dismissed for 169 runs in the final over of the match, trailing by 9 runs. Seifert’s quickfire innings provided New Zealand with a bright start, but his departure in the ninth over triggered a collapse, resulting in the loss of wickets in quick succession. Despite a late surge from Josh Clarkson, New Zealand couldn’t bridge the gap.
