Bismah Maroof, Sidra Ameen powers Pakistan to a decent total

Winning the toss, Pakistan Women elected to bat first. They set a competitive total of 223 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 48.5 overs. Opener Sidra Ameen played a solid inning of 50 runs off 70 balls, but the standout knock came from veteran Bismah Maroof. She played a resilient knock of 65 runs off 105 deliveries.

However, the Pakistani middle order struggled to capitalize on the good start. Nida Dar contributed a valuable 15 runs, while Najiha Alvi‘s brisk 25 provided some momentum towards the end. Chinelle Henry and Karishma Ramharack starred with the ball for West Indies, claiming 3 wickets each.

Stafanie Taylor takes West Indies home

In response, West Indies Women chased down the target with 2 wickets in hand, reaching 225 runs in 50 overs. Stafanie Taylor led the charge with a magnificent innings of 73 runs off 90 balls, ably supported by Shemaine Campbelle‘s steady 52.

Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, the West Indies lower order held their nerve to secure a thrilling victory. Dar was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan, scalping 4 crucial wickets. Ultimately, it was a nail-biting contest that showcased the competitive spirit of both teams. West Indies Women emerged victorious by 2 wickets, with Stafanie rightfully earning the Player of the Match award.
