Gujarat Titans beat Rajasthan Royals by 3 wickets | IPLT20

In a nail-biting finish to Match 24 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Gujarat Titans (GT) snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Rajasthan Royals Post Competitive Total

Electing to bowl first, GT restricted RR to a total of 196/3 in their 20 overs. Sanju Samson (68 not out of 38) and Riyan Parag (76 off 48) played brilliant knocks to propel the Royals to a fighting total. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler failed to fire, managing only 24 and 8 runs respectively.

For the Titans, Rashid Khan‘s economical spell of 1 wicket for 18 runs was instrumental in keeping the Royals in check.

Gujarat Titans Chase Goes Down to the Wire

In reply, GT started their chase cautiously but lost wickets at regular intervals. Skipper Shubman Gill top-scored with a well-made 72 runs, while Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan’s quickfire knocks lower down the order provided crucial impetus. Chasing 11 runs off the last over, Rashid smashed a boundary off the final delivery to seal a dramatic victory for the Titans by 3 wickets.

Kuldeep Sen emerged as the most successful bowler for RR, scalping three crucial wickets for 41 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal also chipped in with two wickets.
