MS Dhoni’s cameo for Chennai Super Kings
After struggling in the batting department, CSK found themselves at 141/6 in 18 overs. MS Dhoni entered the crease at number 8 and played a destructive innings, scoring 28 runs in just 9 balls. He hit 3 fours and 2 massive sixes, at a strike rate of 312. This innings proved instrumental in helping CSK reach a total of 176/6 runs in 20 overs.
Lucknow Super Giants bounce back with convincing victory
After restricting CSK to 176/6 with some sensational bowling, LSG chased down the target with 6 balls to spare. They got off to a good start, putting on a 134-run partnership before losing their first wicket in the 15th over. Quinton de Kock (54) and captain Rahul (83) both smashed fifties for their team, with Rahul’s brilliant innings securing him the Man of the Match award. LSG chased down the target in 19 overs with 8 wickets in hand.
