“Joke nahi kar raha hoon ya aise he butter up nahi kar raha hoon, but Rohit bhai chote se idol rahe hai. Kyuki vo bhi Mumbai se hai, mai bhi waha se hoon aur unko dekhte hue mai grow hua hoon (I’m not joking or just buttering up, but Rohit bhai has been like a idol for me since childhood. Because he is also from Mumbai, I am also from there, and growing up watching him, I have grown),” Iyer said.

Rohit Sharma’s humorous banter and caution
Rohit, in a jovial mood throughout the show, entertained the audience with his wit and humor. When Iyer expressed admiration for him, Rohit playfully responded in his trademark style and provided caution about players of new generation, joking that nowadays youngsters like Iyer grumble bad words about him behind his back in the dressing room, and now, with the presence of cameras and people, Iyer was being overly nice. Rohit’s response left Iyer and others in splits.
“Dressing room mein bahut gaaliya dete hai. Ye saamne abhi log hai, camera hai. Aajkal ke youngsters dangerous hai bhai bahut.(They give a lot of abuses in the dressing room. There are people and cameras in front now. Nowadays, youngsters are very dangerous, brother),” Rohit said.
