Most expensive over in the IPL 2024
This over by Nortje was not only the most expensive over in IPL 2024 but also ranked as the sixth most expensive over in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Prior to Shepherd’s onslaught, Mumbai got off to a flying start with Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan scoring 49 and 42 runs respectively at a strike rate of over 180. Although Suryakumar Yadav couldn’t contribute with the bat, Tim David‘s explosive 45 off 21 balls, striking at 214, provided a significant boost to MI’s total.
