Shahbaz Ahmad’s stellar performance
In the decisive match, Shahbaz, SRH’s promising all-rounder, showcased his brilliance. His exceptional bowling performance saw him concede a mere 23 runs while claiming three crucial wickets. Additionally, he made a valuable contribution with the bat, adding 18 runs to the scoreboard while batting lower down the order.

Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan Royals
SRH defeated RR by 36 runs in Qualifier 2 and confirmed their spot in IPL 2024 Final. After being asked to bat first, SRH posted a competitive total of 175/9 in 20 overs, fuelled by Klaasen’s brisk 50 off 34 balls at a strike rate of 147. Avesh Khan and Sandeep Sharma impressed for RR, taking 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
RR made a solid start, reaching 65/2 after 8 overs. However, SRH’s bowlers, particularly Shahbaz and Abhishek, staged a remarkable comeback, restricting RR to 139/7 and clinching victory. Shahbaz’s outstanding performance earned him the Player of the Match award. SRH will now face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the final on May 26th.
