Delhi Capitals remains in the playoff race
After being asked to bat first, DC posted a formidable total of 221/8 with the help of an outstanding knock from Jake Fraser-McGurk, who scored 50 runs off 20 balls at a strike rate of 250, and Abhishek Porel, who contributed 65 runs off 36 deliveries, including 7 boundaries and 3 sixes. Ashwin bowled exceptionally well for RR, claiming 3 wickets in his 4-over spell while conceding only 24 runs.
Following the early setback, RR suffered the loss of Yashasvi Jaiswal‘s wicket on only the second delivery of the innings. However, a commendable partnership of 63 runs between Riyan Parag and Jos Buttler offered some hope. Despite Sanju’s impressive performance in the middle overs, it was not sufficient to secure victory. RR ultimately fell short by 20 runs, largely due to the outstanding bowling display by Kuldeep and Mukesh, who claimed two wickets apiece.
