In the Final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are set to clash at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday.
KKR, finishing first in the league stage points table, last contested a final at this venue in 2012 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), emerging victorious under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir. Now, after over a decade, the Knight Riders are poised to vie for the trophy once more.
Known for its spin-friendly nature, the pitch at this ground provides a significant advantage to teams with more spinners. Consequently, KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer was seen honing his bowling skills ahead of the match. In a light-hearted moment, Iyer was even spotted mimicking the bowling action of Sunil Narine.
