Punjab Kings (PBKS) clinched a commanding five-wicket win against Rajasthan Royals (RR) during their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 showdown in Guwahati on Wednesday, dealing a significant blow to RR’s aspirations for a top-two spot in the group stage.
Following the match, ex-Indian fast bowler Irfan Pathan shared his perspective on the ongoing debate surrounding English cricketers departing IPL 2024 to join the England squad in preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.
Irfan Pathan’s bold statement
Pathan’s response follows the English board asking all its players to join the team ahead of the T20 World Cup. Most of the players are either returning home or leaving for the USA, where they will directly join their team. Sam Curran on Wednesday confirmed he will leave for the USA in the coming days.
Pathan possessed a distinct perspective on the ongoing debate that had been fervently discussed for the past few days. “Either play full season or don’t come,” Pathan wrote on X.
Either be available for full season or don’t come!
