Like many other spheres under the public eye, the world of cricket is no stranger to unfounded rumours, and the former Indian opener Shikhar also found himself in the midst of one. During his show, Dhawan shared a hilarious revelation that amused his fans. He disclosed that there were once rumours circulating about his marriage to the legendary Indian women cricketer Mithali Raj.
“I heard that I was getting married to Mithali Raj,” Dhawan was quoted as saying by the Times of India.
Dhawan praises Rishabh Pant
Dhawan further commended India’s wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant for his remarkable resurgence following a near-fatal accident in 2022. The 38-year-old expressed pride in Pant’s resilience in overcoming his injuries and delivering standout performances in the IPL. Additionally, he applauded Pant’s inclusion in the T20 World Cup 2024 squad.
“I would like to appreciate the way he has handled his rehab and injuries after the accident. The positivity and the strength he has shown is tremendous and the way he has come back and played in the IPL and got into the Indian team is unbelievable and amazing and I am very proud of him,” the Delhi-born-cricketer stated.

Dhawan’s performance in IPL 2024
Dhawan, representing Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 17th season of IPL, could participate in just five matches before sustaining an injury that forced him to sit out. During these appearances, Dhawan amassed 152 runs at an average of 30.40 and a strike rate of 125.61, with his highest score being 70 runs.
