The Indian cricket team is currently stationed in the USA, preparing for the highly anticipated T20 World Cup 2024. Fueled by a strong determination to end their trophy drought, India are leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of victory. The Men in Blue are poised to kickstart their campaign against Ireland on June 5 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.

As the team bonds well in New York, fans eagerly anticipate India’s quest for the prestigious trophy. A light-hearted moment between Kuldeep Yadav and Rohit has captured attention, with the viral video spreading laughter among fans across social media platforms.

Rohit Sharma pokes fun at Kuldeep Yadav

Renowned for his witty punch lines, Rohit never fails to entertain fans and experts alike during his press conferences and on-field interactions. The Indian skipper once again showcased his humorous side during a special presentation for teammate Kuldeep. The occasion took place during a promotional shoot for the upcoming T20 World Cup, where Rohit was tasked with presenting Kuldeep with the ICC ODI Team of the Year cap.

In a light-hearted exchange, Rohit presented the cap to Kuldeep, prompting the spinner to express his gratitude. However, when Rohit inquired about Kuldeep’s feelings, the Delhi Capitals (DC) bowler unexpectedly mentioned his performances with both bat and ball from the previous year.

“I mean, nothing much to say. I mean I had a great season last year, both with the bat and ball,” Kuldeep said.

Rohit, taken aback by this response, questioned Kuldeep’s reference to batting, to which Kuldeep cited his innings during the test series against England. Quick to clarify, the former Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper pointed out that he was specifically referring to ODI matches. Trying to salvage the situation, Kuldeep insisted that he had also contributed with the bat, citing his performances during the World Cup.

“But I performed with the bat as well, so last year I was really good with the ball during the World Cup as well,” the spinner remarked.

In a humorous closing remark, the opening batter jokingly reminded Kuldeep that, as the team captain, he had never witnessed him bat.

“I am captain of this team. I have never seen him bat. So, I don’t know what is he talking about,” Rohit stated.
