Taskin Ahmed’s spectacular delivery
Amidst his dazzling spell, Taskin’s dismissal of Clive Madande stole the spotlight, as the fast bowler removed the wicketkeeper-batter with a remarkable delivery. This particular incident unfolded during the penultimate over of Zimbabwe’s innings when Taskin delivered a toe-crushing yorker to clinch his third wicket. Madande attempted to flick it towards the leg side, but the full-length delivery breached his defenses, crashing into the stumps.

Taskin bags Player of the Match as Bangladesh thrash Zimbabwe
Speaking about the game, Zimbabwe’s batting lineup struggled to find momentum throughout their innings, with only Madande and Wellington Masakadza offering notable resistance. Madande’s gritty knock of 43 runs off 39 deliveries and Masakadza’s aggressive 34 off 38 balls were the standout performances, but they lacked support from the rest of the batting order.
Bangladesh’s bowling attack put up a disciplined show, with Taskin, Mohammad Saifuddin, and Mahedi Hasan leading the charge with crucial wickets. Taskin’s stellar bowling performance earned him the Player of the Match award, as he scalped three vital wickets to dismantle Zimbabwe’s batting lineup.
Chasing a target of 125 runs for victory, Bangladesh’s batters showcased remarkable composure and skill to achieve the target with ease. Tanzid Hasan was the star with the bat, smashing 67 runs off just 47 deliveries, including eight boundaries and two sixes. Supported by contributions from Towhid Hridoy and Najmul Hossain Shanto, Bangladesh chased down the target in just 15.2 overs, securing a convincing eight-wicket win.
