Intense Training Pays Off
Janhvi’s commitment to the role wasn’t limited to on-screen acting. The actress revealed that she underwent rigorous training under the guidance of Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) assistant coach, Abhishek Nayar. Nayar trained Janhvi using the same techniques he employs with professional players. Janhvi even shared a training camp experience with recently retired cricketer Dinesh Karthik.
Describing her training regime during a promotional event, Janhvi stated, “My daily routine was very intense. My coach even said it was more intense than what he does with the IPL players.” Her daily routine spanned over five to six hours, encompassing net sessions with KKR players, strength training, conditioning, cardio, and dedicated cricket practice.
“I used to wake up in the morning and practice in the nets with the KKR players, who he had recruited. We would practice there for 2 hours. Then I would go to Bandra for strength training, conditioning, and cardio, which took about an hour. After that, I would attend meetings. If there was a shoot, I would go for the shoot, and after wrapping up, I would practice for another 2 hours at a ground in Bandra. So yeah, it was almost 5-6 hours of physical training every day,” Janhvi added.
