The stage is set for an intense battle for the T20 World Cup 2024 title as eight teams have secured their spots in the highly anticipated Super 8 stage.

India, Australia, Afghanistan, West Indies, South Africa, USA, England and Bangladesh emerged victorious from the respective group stages to continue their T20 World Cup journey.

England’s qualification was confirmed by a combination of their win against Namibia and Scotland’s subsequent loss to Australia on June 15. Bangladesh became the final team to join the elite group with a crucial 21-run victory over Nepal in Match 37.

Super 8 Format: Round robin battles

The Super 8 stage pits these eight teams in a round-robin format, divided into two groups – Group 1 and Group 2. Each side will face the other three teams in their respective groups, with the top two sides from each group progressing to the semifinals.

Group 1 and Group 2: A look at the match-ups

Group 1: India, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh
Group 2: USA, England, West Indies, South Africa

The action kicks off on June 19th with USA taking on South Africa. Cricket fans can look forward to a rematch of the 2023 World Cup final as India takes on Australia on June 24th.
