Rohit Sharma opines after India’s dramatic win over Pakistan
After India emerged victorious against Pakistan, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma stated that they lacked effort in the batting, while bowlers did a commendable job for them.
“I think we didn’t bat well enough. Halfway through the stage, when we were batting we were 80 for 3 down. You expect guys to stitch the partnership. We were 15-20 runs short. Every run matters on a ground like this. Bowlers came and did the job for us,” Rohit said in the post-match presentation.
“You need everyone to show up. Little contribution from everyone makes a huge difference. Whoever had ball in hand wanted to contribute for the team,” he added.
