Curtly Ambrose’s words of wisdom
After the match, Ambrose was invited to speak to the USA team in their change room, where he commended their exceptional performance against a strong South African side. He reassured the players that there was no shame in their defeat and encouraged them to build on their positive aspects from the match.
“Good afternoon everybody. I make it quick. You guys played a great game today. Even though you lost, you played a great game. You can build on this for the other games. You have nothing to be ashamed of. Nothing to be embarrassed. You played a damn good game against a good team. And you can build on this going forward for the other games,” said Ambrose in a video shared by ICC.
