Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s reaction
Raghuvanshi has apologized for making an insensitive remark about the Indian badminton star. Raghuvanshi had posted on social media that Saina should be prepared for a “Bumrah bouncer at her head”, referring to the dangerous short-pitched deliveries bowled by Indian pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah. This comment was seen as inappropriate and disrespectful towards the shuttler, who is one of India’s most accomplished athletes.
The 19-year-old Raghuvanshi, a member of the Indian team that won the U-19 World Cup in 2022, responded to Nehwal’s remark right away. He wrote “Let’s see how she goes when Bumrah bowls 150k’s bumpers at her head.”
