The fourth edition of the Global T20 Canada is set to begin on Thursday, July 25th, with Vancouver Knights squaring off against Toronto Nationals in the opening match at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario.
The tournament will feature a total of 21 league-stage matches, culminating in the playoffs. Qualifier 1 and Eliminator are scheduled for August 9th, with Qualifier 2 taking place the following day. The grand finale will take place on Sunday, August 11th.
After a successful launch in 2018, the tournament continued to thrive in 2019. However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the postponement of the 2020 season until 2021. Unfortunately, the 2021 and 2022 editions were cancelled.
The Global T20 Canada made a much-awaited comeback last year, with Montreal Tigers emerging as champions after defeating Surrey Jaguars in the final. All eyes will be on the six participating teams as they vie for the coveted title in this year’s edition.
