India head coach Gautam Gambhir is expected to be buoyed by the return of ODI skipper Rohit Sharma and star batter Virat Kohli as the Men in Blue lock horns with hosts Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series commencing on Friday, August 2.

To bolster their squad, Sri Lanka have included all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne and promising young batsmen Janith Liyanage and Nishan Madushka in their 16-member team for the upcoming ODIs.

While India will be brimming with confidence after a clean sweep in the T20I series, Sri Lanka will be keen to stage a comeback in the longer format against the 2023 World Cup finalists.
