Cricket fans rejoice! The much awaited World Championship of Legends (WCL) is finally here, kicking off on Wednesday (July 3) in England. This inaugural season promises nostalgia-filled clashes between cricketing greats, rekindling memories of legendary rivalries.

Iconic venues and renowned faces

Northampton Stadium and the iconic Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham will be the battlegrounds for these legendary encounters. A total of six teams, each boasting a powerhouse lineup of retired stars, will vie for the coveted WCL title.

Fans will see iconic stars like Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bell, Imran Tahir, Jacques Kallis, Daren Sammy, Chis Gayle, Younis Khan and Shahid Afridi grace the field once again, albeit in a different format.

The WCL will unfold over ten action-packed days. The teams will first face off in a round-robin format, playing against each other once. This initial stage will be crucial, as only the top four teams will advance to the knockout rounds.
