In light of the ongoing political instability in Bangladesh, the national cricket team has made the decision to arrive in Pakistan earlier than originally planned to prepare for the upcoming two-match Test series. This decision directly addresses the disruptions caused by the domestic unrest, which has significantly hindered the team’s regular training schedule.

Arrival moved up to August 13th

Initially set to land on August 17th, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) accepted the Pakistan Cricket Board‘s (PCB) offer to advance their arrival to August 13th. This adjustment grants the team extra days to adjust to the conditions in Pakistan and fine-tune their preparations for the crucial Test series.

Warm welcome and world-class facilities in Lahore

The PCB has warmly welcomed the Bangladesh team, providing them with top-notch facilities at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore for their initial training camp. The team will use these additional days to sharpen their skills and strategies before heading to Rawalpindi for the first Test, which is scheduled to begin on August 21st.
