Bollywood megastar Ajay Devgn surprised fans recently when took to Instagram to answer their questions. “Bade dino baad…aapke sawal mere jawab [After several days, I’m here to answer your queries]. Ask me anything;)” he captioned his post.

Ajay Devgn to act in a movie based on India’s first Dalit cricketer

Devgn is set to take on a challenging new role as he prepares to portray the life of India’s first Dalit cricketer, Palwankar Baloo. The upcoming biopic will delve into the inspiring journey of this pioneering sportsperson who broke barriers and defied societal norms.

The film, based on historian Ramchandra Guha’s book “A Corner of a Foreign Field,” will be produced by Devgn in collaboration with filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia. The project aims to shed light on Baloo’s extraordinary cricketing talent and the immense challenges he faced as a Dalit in a society steeped in caste discrimination.

Known for his intense portrayals, Devgn is expected to bring depth and authenticity to the role. The film promises to be a powerful exploration of not just a sporting legend but also a social crusader who paved the way for generations to come.
