Scott Edwards shines with the bat
After being sent in to bat by the USA, the Netherlands made full use of the opportunity, posting an imposing total of 217/5. Captain Scott Edwards led from the front, scoring a blistering 81 off just 40 balls, hitting 4 fours and 4 sixes. Edwards was well-supported by Michael Levitt, who played an explosive knock of 68 off 34 deliveries, smashing 6 fours and 5 sixes.
The Netherlands’ middle-order capitalized on the excellent start, and despite the efforts of USA’s Shadley van Schalkwyk, who claimed 3 wickets for 35 runs, the Dutch set a daunting target of 218.

USA struggle in chase
Chasing 218 was always going to be a tall order for the USA, and their innings faltered under the pressure. They struggled to build momentum, losing wickets at regular intervals, and were eventually bowled out for just 115 in 15.4 overs. Shayan Jahangir top-scored with 37 off 29 balls, but his efforts were in vain as the rest of the batting lineup crumbled against a disciplined Dutch bowling attack.
Vikramjit Singh was the pick of the bowlers for the Netherlands, taking 3 wickets for just 16 runs. Zach Lion-Cachet and Kyle Klein also played key roles, claiming 2 wickets each as the Netherlands wrapped up the USA innings well short of the target.
For his match-winning knock of 81 off 40 balls, Netherlands captain Edwards was named Player of the Match. His powerful hitting and leadership set the tone for his team’s comprehensive victory. With this win, the Netherlands have strengthened their position in the T20 Tri-Series, showcasing their dominance against the USA.
