“The XI that I am going for the first Test match against Bangladesh for India – Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma open the batting. Gill at three, Kohli at four, and Jadeja coming at five just to keep that left-handed, right-handed combination going,” said Hogg.

Hogg’s XI continued with Sarfaraz Khan in the middle order, followed by Rishabh Pant behind the stumps. As for the bowling department, the former spinner opted for a mix of spin and pace, selecting Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, and the returning pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah.
