As Kohli continues to build his legacy, comparisons between him and Tendulkar are inevitable and frequent, reflecting their significant impact on the game. Kohli is on the cusp of achieving a remarkable milestone in international cricket, as he edges closer to surpassing Tendulkar’s another valuable record.

Reaching 27,000 runs in international cricket is a feat that marks a rare and extraordinary accomplishment, reflecting unparalleled skill and consistency. Kohli, known for his exceptional batting prowess, is now just 58 runs away from this prestigious milestone. His remarkable form and relentless drive have positioned him to potentially set a new record for the fastest accumulation of 27,000 runs, surpassing the legendary Tendulkar’s longstanding record.

The upcoming Test series against Bangladesh presents a crucial opportunity for Kohli to set the record for the fastest 27,000 international runs. Kohli’s last appearance in a Test match was during the South Africa vs India series in Cape Town in January 2024. He is expected to return to Test cricket after an eight-month hiatus.

Sachin reached 27,000 runs in 623 innings, a remarkable feat in his era. In contrast, Kohli is currently at 26,942 runs in just 591 innings. His aggressive and consistent batting style has set a new standard, demonstrating his exceptional performance and raising the bar for modern cricketers.
