Antigua and Barbuda Falcons secures victory with controlled chase
Earlier in the match, Knight Riders struggled to put up a commanding total, finishing their 20 overs at 134/8. Captain Kieron Pollard stood out as the top scorer for his side, playing a crucial knock of 47 runs off 37 balls, including two boundaries and four towering sixes. However, the rest of the TKR batting line-up faltered, failing to build substantial partnerships around their skipper. Antigua and Barbuda Falcons’ bowlers maintained disciplined lines, restricting TKR from gaining momentum in the middle overs.
Chasing a modest target of 135, Falcons kept their cool throughout the innings. Justin Greaves was the backbone of their chase, playing a steady knock of 46 runs from 48 balls, including four boundaries, before being retired out. His measured approach ensured that the Falcons never lost control of the chase despite a few hiccups along the way. The Falcons successfully overhauled the target in 19 overs, finishing at 135/4.
