After electing to bat, Oman posted 140/5 in their 20 overs. Despite a solid start, their batting lineup struggled to maintain momentum. Mohammad Nadeem anchored the innings with 41 off 49 balls, while Hammad Mirza played a quickfire cameo, scoring 28 off 15 deliveries, including two sixes. Jatinder Singh (17 off 13) and Wasim Ali (24 off 28) contributed, but Oman fell short of a more competitive total.

He was well-supported by Tilak Varma, who contributed a solid 36* off 30 balls, and Abhishek Sharma, who set the tone early with a brisk 34 off 15 deliveries.
