As Plimmer attempted to cut a short, outside-off delivery, she got an outer edge that was perfectly directed to Deepti’s right. With remarkable agility, Deepti held on to the catch, leaving the bowler ecstatic. This dismissal was significant, as it marked Plimmer’s exit after scoring 39 runs off 67 balls, which included four fours and a six.

Deepti leads India’s bowling attack

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, New Zealand wre bowled out for 232 runs in 49.5 overs.
