Nahid Rana dismisses Sediqullah Atal with spectacular pace
Rana’s moment came during the seventh over of Afghanistan’s innings when he bowled a scorching delivery clocked at 147.9 km/h. The ball was slightly short of a good length and swung in sharply, catching Sediqullah Atal off guard. As Atal attempted to defend, he misjudged the line, allowing the ball to whoosh past his inside edge and clip the top of the stumps. This stunning delivery not only showcased Rana’s speed but also his ability to swing the ball, making it a memorable debut wicket for the young bowler. Atal’s steady innings ended at 14 runs off 18 balls, leaving Afghanistan at 41/1 after 7.4 overs—a crucial breakthrough for Bangladesh.

Afghanistan bag the ODI series against Bangladesh
The third ODI of the series was tightly contested, with Bangladesh batting first and posting a total of 244 runs in their allotted 50 overs. Despite a solid performance from Mahmudullah, who scored 98 runs, Bangladesh struggled to build momentum against Afghanistan’s disciplined bowling attack. In response, Afghanistan chased down the target, finishing at 246/5 in just 48.2 overs, securing victory by five wickets. Rahmanullah Gurbaz was instrumental in this chase, scoring an impressive 101 runs.
Rana’s debut ODI wicket is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting career for the young fast bowler. His ability to generate pace and swing will be invaluable for Bangladesh as they look to strengthen their bowling lineup in future international fixtures.
