The incident left his teammates in the dressing room in fits of laughter, prompting Akram to question the source of their amusement.

“I don’t know why they laugh when a player gets hit on the groin,” he remarked during his commentary stint.

Recalling a similar incident involving West Indies bowler Courtney Walsh, Akram added “I remember when Courtney Walsh got hit there and the West Indies players were laughing.”
