India’s World Cup preparation in full swing

With the ODI World Cup approaching, the Indian team is actively building momentum. Following their series win against New Zealand in Ahmedabad last month, India will also take on Australia in a three-match ODI series in Brisbane and Perth in December before their home series against West Indies. This series against West Indies and Ireland will be a valuable part of India’s strategy to refine their lineup and gain more competitive experience on home turf.

Memorable returns to Vadodara and Rajkot for India

The upcoming fixtures will bring India women’s cricket back to Vadodara, where they last played an ODI series against South Africa in 2019. Rajkot, meanwhile, will host India after a long hiatus, with the last international women’s match held at this venue in 2011 against West Indies. These games offer fans the opportunity to see their favorite players in action at venues with rich cricketing history.

West Indies and Ireland: Recent records against India

West Indies last toured India for a white-ball series in 2016, securing a 3-0 victory in the T20Is but falling 0-3 in the ODIs. Ireland, on the other hand, has yet to win an ODI against India, having lost all 12 matches. The teams last faced each other in the 2023 T20 World Cup, where India emerged victorious by five runs.
