The Men’s Gulf Cricket T20I Championship 2024 has returned for its much-anticipated second edition, started from December 13 and will run till December 21. Following the success of its inaugural event in Qatar, this year’s tournament promises to be an exciting showcase of cricketing talent from across the Gulf region. With Oman as the defending champions, the competition is expected to be fierce as six teams vie for the title.
A tournament of regional pride
The Gulf T20I Championship will feature six teams: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates. Each team will compete in a single round-robin format, where they will face every other team once. This structure not only enhances the competitive spirit but also ensures that fans will see a variety of matchups throughout the nine-day tournament. The top two teams at the end of the league stage will advance to the final, which will be held at the prestigious Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
