Jasprit Bumrah has been a pillar of strength for the Indian team in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The Indian pacer has at times single-handedly taken the game and bailed his team out of critical junctures. However, Bumrah is likely to outperform his own high standards after a warming message from his son which is touching hearts on social media.
Jasprit Bumrah’s son’s heartwarming message for his father
An Instagram story of Bumrah’s wife, Sanjana Ganesan is going viral on social media in which Bumrah’s son, Angad is holding two cricket balls. A message is also written on behalf of Bumrah’s son which reads, “Proud of you Dadda, today and everyday.”
Notably, the couple was blessed with a baby boy on September 4, 2023 when Bumrah was with the Indian squad in Sri Lanka to play the Asia Cup. Bumrah had missed the match against Nepal back then to be with his wife. The couple had since then shared several moments of their son on social media. Angad had earlier featured with his parents when they met Prime Minister Narendra Modi after India’s T20 World Cup triumph in the USA.

Bumrah’s performance shines amidst disappointing result for the Indian team
Even though the Indian team couldn’t win the Boxing Day Test match at Melbourne, Bumrah’s performance was one of the highlights of the match. Bumrah troubled the Australian batters amidst a batting masterclass in the first innings, particularly from Steve Smith who scored 140 runs for the Aussies. Bumrah took 4 crucial wickets for the team in Australia’s first innings. His performance in the Melbourne Test, however, reached its peak as the Aussies came to bat once again. Bumrah’s impeccable bowling proved to be a bone of contention for the Australians as he got rid of the batters one after the other and took a 5-wicket haul, finishing with 9 wickets in the Melbourne Test.
