Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have announced their men’s squad for the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand, set to begin in January 2025. The 17-member team will be captained by Charith Asalanka, marking an important opportunity for the young leader to showcase his skills in the Kiwi land.

Series Schedule

The ODI series will take place from January 5 to January 11, 2025, with matches scheduled in Wellington, Hamilton, and Auckland. The match timings are as follows:

  • 1st ODI: January 5, 2025, at Wellington
  • 2nd ODI: January 8, 2025, at Hamilton)
  • 3rd ODI: January 11, 2025, at Auckland

Team Composition and Expectations

The inclusion of mystery spinner Maheesh Theekshana strengthens the bowling attack, while the batting lineup boasts talented players like Kusal Mendis and Pathum Nissanka.
