The cricketing world is abuzz with excitement as the fourth match of the prestigious Border-Gavaskar Trophy looms on the horizon. The highly anticipated Test match, part of the five-match series, is set to commence this Wednesday (December 26) at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

As tensions run high between the two cricketing powerhouses, Australia and India, fans and analysts alike are gearing up for what promises to be a riveting contest. Amidst this intense build-up, a humorous video involving Australian cricket stars has provided a lighter moment for fans.

Steve Smith’s one-word description of BCCI and ICC

Australian cricketer Steve Smith, known for his remarkable Test batting prowess, recently caught the internet’s attention with his witty remarks during an interview with ABC Sports. Alongside teammates Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon and Travis Head, Smith was asked to describe the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Indian cricket as a whole in just one word.

When it came to describing the BCCI, Smith unhesitatingly called it a “powerhouse,” reflecting its dominant influence in world cricket. However, his response to the ICC drew the most laughter. Smith initially joked, calling the ICC “not as powerful,” a cheeky reference to the BCCI’s clout in the cricketing world.

Realizing the humor in his statement, Smith quickly clarified, saying, “No, no, I can’t say that. That was a joke.” He then thoughtfully described the ICC as “leaders.” The candid moment has since gone viral, sparking reactions from fans worldwide.
