The Cricket West Indies (CWI) has recently unveiled a 15-member squad for an eagerly awaited two-match Test series against Pakistan, scheduled to take place from January 16 to 28, 2025. This tour marks a significant return for the West Indies to Pakistan for Test cricket after an 18-year hiatus, making it a focal point for fans and cricket analysts alike.

Squad composition

Leading the squad is Kraigg Brathwaite, with Joshua Da Silva serving as his vice-captain. The team composition includes seasoned players alongside promising talents, aiming to blend experience with youthful energy.

Notable returns and debuts

The squad sees the return of left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie, who missed the recent drawn series against Bangladesh but is back to bolster the spin attack. A notable inclusion is Amir Jangoo, the left-handed batter whose recent performance, including a match-winning ODI century on debut against Bangladesh, has earned him his first Test call-up.
