In the deciding 3rd ODI of the series between West Indies Women and Bangladesh Women, the home team displayed a dominant all-around performance to clinch the match and the series 2-1.

West Indies restrict Bangladesh for 118

Bangladesh elected to bat first after winning the toss but struggled against a disciplined West Indies bowling attack. The visiting side was bowled out for just 118 runs in 43.5 overs.

Key contributions with the bat came from Sharmin Akhter (37 off 58, 5 fours) and Sobhana Mostary (25 off 62, 2 fours). However, the rest of the batting lineup faltered, with seven players failing to reach double figures.

West Indies’ bowlers shone, with Karishma Ramharack delivering a stellar performance, claiming 4 wickets for just 12 runs in 6.5 overs. She was well-supported by Zaida James, who picked up 2/15, and Hayley Matthews, who bowled a tight spell of 1/19 in her 10 overs.

Deandra Dottin finished the game in style with a brisk 33 off just 19 balls, which included 4 fours and 2 sixes, guiding her team to victory in just 27.3 overs with eight wickets in hand.

Bangladesh’s bowlers toiled hard, with Marufa Akter (1/39) and Nahida Akter (1/25) picking up a wicket each, but they couldn’t contain the confident West Indies batters.
