Sehwag had a remarkable cricketing career playing for India, showcasing his prowess across all formats.

In Test cricket, he played 104 matches, scoring 8,586 runs at an average of 49.34, with 23 centuries and 32 half-centuries. His highest score of 319 remains a testament to his aggressive batting style. In ODIs, Sehwag amassed 8,273 runs in 251 matches at an average of 35.05, with 15 hundreds, maintaining a strike rate of 104.33. His T20I career, though shorter with 19 appearances, saw him score 394 runs.

Sehwag’s exceptional batting was complemented by his bowling in both Tests and ODIs, where he claimed 40 and 96 wickets, respectively, including best bowling figures of 5/104 in Tests and 4/6 in ODIs. His aggressive approach was evident in the T20 format as well, where he scored over 4,000 runs in 159 matches, maintaining a strike rate of 147.83. Sehwag’s aggressive batting remained a hallmark throughout his career making him one of the most dangerous openers in cricket history. Sehwag retired from international cricket in 2013 marking an end to a 15-year long decorated career.

Sehwag’s net worth is estimated to be between INR 340 crore and INR 350 crores. In 2024, it was reported that Sehwag earned over INR 30 crore annually, with INR 24 crore of that amount generated exclusively from his presence on social media platforms. When it comes to his luxury assets, Sehwag owns an opulent mansion in Delhi’s Hauz Khas, along with a collection of high-end cars, including a Bentley Continental Flying Spur and a BMW 5 Series.

Additionally, Sehwag has also been associated with several top brands including Adidas, Reebok, Boost, Samsung and Hero Moto Corps.
