In a stunning display of bowling prowess, Kagiso Rabada produced a remarkable delivery to dismiss Jonny Bairstow during the fourth match of the SA20 2025 on Saturday, January 11. The match, held at Johannesburg’s Wanderers Stadium saw Rabada’s exceptional skill on full display as he outfoxed the England star with a perfectly executed leg-cutter.

A moment of magic from Kagiso Rabada

It all happened in the 12th over of the Joburg Super Kings’ innings. Rabada bowled a brilliant leg-cutter that landed perfectly and nipped away sharply, leaving Bairstow in all sorts of trouble. The batter was squared up as the ball deviated just enough to beat his defenses and crash into the stumps.

Rabada’s delivery was a masterpiece – fast, deceptive, and unplayable. Bairstow, who was on 14 off 14 balls with one four and a six, was left undone by the sheer quality of the delivery.

Following the dismissal, Rabada celebrated with his trademark intensity, pumping his fists in the air as he acknowledged the cheers from the crowd.

Joburg Super Kings won by 6 runs (DLS Method)

Talking about the result of the match, Joburg Super Kings clinched a thrilling six-run victory over MI Cape Town via the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method in a rain-affected  encounter. The match was disrupted multiple times by rain, ultimately reducing MI Cape Town’s chase to 136 runs in 19 overs. However, persistent showers halted play at 82/3 after 11.3 overs, putting JSK ahead by six runs on the DLS calculations and securing them the win.

Leus du Plooy (24*) and Wihan Lubbe (0*) were at the crease when the game was called off. Earlier, captain Faf du Plessis laid a solid foundation with a 30-run knock off 23 balls before being caught brilliantly by Dewald Brevis.

Rabada impressed for MI Cape Town, taking 2/10 in a fiery spell of 2.3 overs.
