Cameron Green to miss ICC Champions Trophy & IPL 2025 due to injury

While Green celebrates his engagement, he is also dealing with a major setback in his cricketing career. The Australian all-rounder has been ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 due to a back injury. He underwent surgery for a lower back stress fracture in October 2024 and is still in the recovery phase. This injury also forced him to miss the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024.

Green’s IPL career so far

In his IPL career so far, Green has played 29 matches, scoring 707 runs, including one century and two half-centuries, with a highest score of 100 not out. With the ball, he has claimed 16 wickets, with his best bowling figures of 2/12.

IPL 2023: Bought by Mumbai Indians for ₹17.5 crore, he played 16 matches, scoring 452 runs, including one century and two fifties.

IPL 2024: Traded to RCB, he played 13 matches, scoring 255 runs and taking 10 wickets.
His IPL batting average stands at 41.59, with a strike rate of 153.70, while his bowling average is 41.50, with an economy rate of 9.08.
