The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 is set to begin on February 19, and will run until March 9, featuring a total of eight elite teams competing in the ODI format. This edition marks a significant return of the tournament after an eight-year hiatus and is hosted primarily in Pakistan, with matches also taking place in Dubai. The defending champions, Pakistan, will face New Zealand in the opening match at Karachi’s National Stadium.
The tournament is divided into two groups: Group A includes Pakistan, India, New Zealand and Bangladesh, while Group B features Australia, South Africa, Afghanistan and England. Each team will play the others in their group once, with the top two from each advancing to the semi-finals. Notably, Team India’s matches will be held in Dubai due to political tensions between India and Pakistan.
Key matches to watch include the highly anticipated clash between Pakistan and India on February 23. The semi-finals are scheduled for March 4 and 5, leading up to the final on March 9, which will be hosted at either the Dubai International Cricket Stadium or Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, depending on India’s progression
