Gujarat Titans (GT) are gearing up for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 with a squad that strikes the perfect balance between seasoned international stars and promising young talents. After a disappointing eighth-place finish in IPL 2024, the 2022 champions have gone back to the drawing board, making strategic changes in both their playing personnel and leadership. With the retention of key players like Rashid Khan, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, alongside marquee signings such as Jos Buttler, Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada, GT look determined to reclaim their lost glory.

A formidable squad with world-class players: Gujarat Titans

GT have built a squad that can take on any opposition with confidence. Gill, the franchise’s captain, will spearhead the batting lineup, looking to rediscover the form that once made him a prime contender for India’s T20 setup. He will be joined by England’s explosive opener Buttler, who has previously set the IPL stage on fire with Rajasthan Royals (RR). The duo at the top ensures that GT have a powerful opening combination capable of dismantling any bowling attack.

Sudharsan, one of GT’s most promising young batters, will play a crucial role in the middle order. His ability to anchor innings while maintaining an aggressive strike rate makes him indispensable. The presence of dynamic all-rounders like Rahul Tewatia, Washington Sundar and Rashid further strengthens the middle order, giving GT multiple game-changers. Glenn Phillips, a powerful striker of the ball, adds to the team’s firepower, ensuring no total is too big or any chase is out of reach.

On the bowling front, Gujarat have one of the most potent attacks in IPL 2025. The trio of Siraj, Rabada and Rashid provides the perfect mix of pace and spin. Rabada’s raw pace and wicket-taking ability, Siraj’s disciplined line-and-length and Rashid’s mystery spin make this bowling attack one of the most dangerous in the tournament. R Sai Kishore, who was retained through the RTM card, will be the second frontline spinner, complementing Rashid well.
