Nicholas Pooran’s destructive knock seals the chase for LSG

Chasing a tricky total, LSG lost Aiden Markram early to Cummins. However, Pooran turned the game on its head with an electrifying 70 off just 26 balls. He took on the SRH bowlers with fearless hitting, smashing six fours and six towering sixes at a blistering strike rate of 269.23. His aggressive approach ensured LSG maintained a high run rate throughout the innings. Pooran was well supported by Mitchell Marsh, who anchored the innings with a 31-ball 52, adding a crucial 116-run partnership for the second wicket. Even after Pooran’s departure, David Miller (13 not out off 7) and Abdul Samad (22 not out off 8) finished the chase clinically, guiding LSG to victory with 23 balls to spare. This dominant performance reinforced LSG’s aggressive batting strategy and secured them a vital win early in the IPL 2025 campaign.
